Odessa Fashion Day Announces the Dates of Its 15th Season

Odessa Fashion Day announces the dates of its 15th season with the support of the public organisation Odessa Fashion Union.

The 15th season of the Odessa Fashion Day project will take place from 6 to 9 April.

The aim of the event is to present seasonal collections by Ukrainian and international designers. It will be four days of fashion and a vibrant event for those who appreciate beauty. The project is intended to highlight the work and quality of Ukrainian fashion, while also presenting collections by international designers.

First of all, the Odesa audience will be introduced to collections by Odesa designers of clothing and accessories who are residents of major Ukrainian fashion projects.

The Odessa Fashion Day project was created in 2010 and is a registered trademark throughout Ukraine. Over fourteen seasons, the project has successfully taken place at some of Odesa’s most notable venues, attracting the attention of press, partners, and guests from across the country. The project has become a starting platform for more than seventy new labels and brands. Thanks to cooperation with Ukrainian Fashion Week, a block of participants from Odessa Fashion Day was presented at Odessa Holiday Fashion Week in summer 2016 and at Fresh Fashion Day in autumn 2016.

Introducing guests of Odessa Fashion Day to designer collections, attracting individual customers as well as buyers for further placement and presentation of collections in stores, and creating the opportunity to purchase selected pieces directly from the designer all remain important parts of the project. The kaleidoscope of Odessa Fashion Day shows takes place with the support of Odessa Fashion Union.

This project represents a chain of events held throughout 2009–2015 and is an annual cultural and humanitarian non-commercial event. The project is an initiative aimed at protecting and promoting domestic fashion producers within the Odesa market and selected regions.

Buy Ukrainian — according to the organisers, this is how the citizens of Ukraine and Odesa should act in order to change attitudes towards domestic producers. It is one of the first steps towards building pride in Ukrainian production as part of broader cultural growth and public well-being.
