On Saturday, 8 October, at the Odesa Main Post Office venue, designer Ivan Fotesko held a public speech on the topic “The Fashion Industry and Its Realities”. Emerging designers had the opportunity to speak with a more experienced colleague, go deeper into the details of fashion across cultures, and discuss the specifics of the fashion business.
The day opened with a show by YG21 by Yana Gul. The designer presented a collection in an eclectic style. Founder Yana Gul creates clothing that helps the modern woman remain versatile in every moment. The fashion house YG21 by Yana Gul is an active participant in many exhibitions across Ukraine.
SY presented bright, spring-like dynamic clothing for girls who value quality tailoring, loose silhouettes, and original prints. Most of the pieces were made as one-off designs, which once again emphasised individuality.
RIMMA DONNA is a Ukrainian clothing factory that has existed for more than 20 years. The brand presented outerwear — coats decorated with natural fur, short coats, jackets, suits, and dresses made from high-quality fabrics with a modern cut.
Lena Largo, a Polish brand with an international name, also presented coats and dresses in soft cream shades combined with rich cherry tones. According to designer Lena Largo, Marlena Kuźmiczka, refined cut, original design, and quality fabrics all embody the image of the modern woman.
The designers of TOMASHEVSKY took part in OFD for the third time. The charismatic brand, which complements laconic clothing with striking accessories, presented a collaboration with the designers of STORGE this season.
Daria Chuprina, designer of the eponymous brand, showed luxurious evening and cocktail dresses made of velvet and satin. Deep shades of blue and green combined with interesting cuts were followed by dresses in delicate cream tones.
TM PARA SOLO is a clothing brand with history, creating lines for women as well as teenagers in a casual style. As part of the 14th season of OFD, the brand presented a teenage collection titled “X SPACE”.
GASANOVA is known for its thematic fashion lines. If guests of the 13th season of OFD saw a collection dedicated to Marlene Dietrich, then this season designer Elvira Hasanova turned to the theme “Glitch”. For the main garments in the collection, she used an unusual fabric — barakan, which is typically used in furniture upholstery. Rough wool barakan was combined with natural silk as lining, as well as with transparent organza.
On 8 October, Benedikt restaurant became the afterparty location for guests of the Odessa Fashion Day project. The special guest of the evening was Dj Propsht (Ihor Propsht).
