Twenty-seven designers and brands will present their collections at the anniversary 10th Odessa Fashion Day. Odesa audiences will see collections by at least 19 designers and brands.
This was announced at a press conference by Odessa Fashion Day president Kostiantyn Lieontiev.
The main fashion event of Odesa is scheduled for 26, 27 and 28 September. This year, the chosen venue is the Korobchynskyi Art Centre. One of the highlights of Odessa Fashion Day will be the shows at MegaDom shopping centre.
“At MegaDom, models have to master the escalators they will use to descend from the third floor to the first. Visitors to the shopping centre will have a unique opportunity to see every garment in detail,” Lieontiev explained.
According to the organisers, this year’s shows will feature an unusual theme.
“There will be haystacks, Ukrainian decorative painting… It will be unforgettable,” Kostiantyn Lieontiev said.
As tradition goes, showrooms will be open during the shows, so visitors will be able to buy designer clothing without going far from the runway. Odesa residents will have a pleasant opportunity to catch the fashion trends of the coming seasons.
“Over the three days of shows, Odesa residents and guests of the city will see more than 13 runway presentations. First of all, collections by Odesa designers of clothing and accessories will be shown, as well as residents of major Ukrainian fashion projects,” Lieontiev said.
Entry to Odessa Fashion Day events will be by invitation. In addition to invited designers, well-known Odesa fashion and accessories makers will also present their work. The organising committee is planning to hold competitions for young designers, as there were many applicants eager to become part of Odessa Fashion Day.
Kostiantyn Lieontiev also stressed that organising a fashion event under the current circumstances had been extremely difficult. However, the project participants supported one another, and through joint effort they are ready to deliver the ambitious idea of the 10th anniversary Odessa Fashion Day in just a few days.
