The bright charity concert by the “Phoenix” school concluded the “Book Country” at VDNH

On April 28th, the social acting school “Phoenix” concluded the grand literary festival “Book Country” at VDNH with its charitable poetic-musical evening. Two hours of Ukrainian poetry, live music, and the sound of beloved Ukrainian songs performed by talented artists Oleksiy Tritenko, the duo Anna Maria, Krylata, Tetyana Krishtal, Oksana Pekun, Anzhelika Girych, and the students of the acting school left no one indifferent.

Hundreds of grateful spectators were present at the charitable creative evening, and the thunderous applause continued throughout the program. The Universum Hall concert venue was filled with Mariupol residents, families of military personnel, and displaced persons from occupied and de-occupied territories of Ukraine. The audience was impressed by the powerful and vivid program prepared by the artists of the charitable project.

The social acting school “Phoenix” and VDNH, together with famous Ukrainian actors and artists, thus supported people of various social statuses and emphasized the importance of Ukrainian unity.

The charitable initiative was publicly supported by: People’s Artists of Ukraine — Oksana Pekun, Aurika Rotaru, Olga Sumska, Anzhelika Girych; Honored Artist of Ukraine, military man Oleksiy Tritenko; actress of the national theater named after I. Franko — Tetyana Krishtal; the duo Anna Maria; Krylata.

The participants of the charitable creative-educational project — the social acting school “Phoenix” — became a new creative discovery for the audience, among them: military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, displaced persons, children of Ukrainian defenders, youth from low-income and large families. The teaching staff, together with the founder and chief director of the school — Oleksandr Yehorov, made considerable efforts to socialize the youth through creativity, help realize and reveal their creative potential before their first stage appearance.

“At the moment, we have become part of the ‘Book Country’ festival. Our charitable event was the finale of the four-day program of the Book Country. It was very responsible because it can be said that we were closing this festival. I am sincerely grateful to all colleagues, actors, and artists for supporting this event, because it is important not only in terms of promoting Ukrainian culture but also as psychological support for displaced persons and relatives of our warriors. I was also impressed by the students of our social acting school ‘Phoenix.’ Today they not only performed wonderfully but also did a great good deed for everyone present in the hall. We are working in the right direction,” says the founder of the social acting school “Phoenix,” Oleksandr Yehorov.

At the end of the charitable evening, the event organizer expressed gratitude to VDNH, the administration of “Universum Hall,” and the “Book Country” festival for organizing the book festival, support, and assistance with organizing the event for Ukrainians affected by the war.
